🎉 Waterside Bridge officially opens to pedestrians and cyclists
The £18 million Waterside Bridge officially opened Tuesday, connecting Nottingham to Lady Bay and becoming the first new river crossing built in the city since Clifton Bridge in 1958. The 87-meter bridge, built in Hucknall and lifted into place in November, opened to pedestrians and cyclists with schoolchildren from nearby primaries helping cut the ribbon alongside council leader Neghat Khan. The newly widened riverside footpath also reopened. A community fun day with free activities and food stalls follows June 14! | Source
⌚️ Rolex opening flagship store on Bridlesmith Gate
Rolex and Goldsmiths are opening a flagship store at Bridlesmith House on Bridlesmith Gate, expected to open Christmas. Fit-out works have started at the 29,000 sq ft mixed-use building, which underwent comprehensive transformation since Endymion Property Group's 2022 acquisition. The move is being hailed as "hugely significant," showcasing major international brands' confidence in Nottingham as a premium retail location. | Source
