🚎 NCT introducing £2 evening single fare from June 21
Nottingham City Transport are launching a £2 evening single fare from Sunday June 21, valid 7pm onwards every night. The reduction from £3 cuts evening journeys by a third, making a return trip £4. Available via cash, contactless and NCTX app, the fare aims to make evening travel to events, hospitality and attractions more affordable. | Source
🔒 Nine student designs revealed for Wilford Bridge lovelock replacement
Nine shortlisted designs created by University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University architecture students have been revealed for a lovelock replacement structure at Wilford Suspension Bridge. Severn Trent is welcoming public feedback via their website until June 12 before a judging panel decides the winner! To see the shortlisted designs, visit the Severn Trent Website.
🎬 Prince Harry sends video message to Nottingham film premiere
Prince Harry sent a video message to the premiere of "To Those Who...", a film about inner-city life, peer pressure and knife crime produced by Nottingham youth projects. The Duke praised the "creativity and talent" among the city’s young people. The film, developed as an educational resource for schools and community settings, was produced by Take 1 Studios with support from Nottinghamshire Police, Community Recording Studio, The Pheasants at Radford and Broadway Cinema. Harry's £1.1m 2025 donation to BBC Children in Need funded CRS's Music Mentors Programme and studio rebuild. | Source
🍺 Nottingham Craft Beer Festival returns June 19-20 with 5,000 visitors expected
Nottingham Craft Beer Festival returns to Sneinton Market Avenues June 19-20 for its eighth year, expecting 5,000 across three sessions. Expect over 350 beers, ciders, gins, cocktails and natural wines from 30+ stalls! Live entertainment curated by The Grove features live acts and DJs, whilst street food be available from multiple traders plus Bustler Market food court.
