⚽️ Former Lionesses keeper unveils new all-weather pitch
Former Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps officially opened the Mary Earps Pitch at Calverton Miners Welfare FC, describing the turnout as surreal and saying she's proud her family witnessed something special in her hometown. The all-weather facility, funded by the Football Foundation's £30 million Lionesses Futures Fund, is one of 35 3G artificial pitches opening nationwide with reserved peak-time slots and priority booking for women and girls. Both Calverton Miners Welfare and Arnold Eagles will use the pitch, with club secretary Viv Corcoran calling it vital for creating more teams after weeks of rain made grass pitches unusable. Earps, who helped England win Euro 2022 and reach the 2023 World Cup Final, says the facility shows women's sport is finally becoming a priority after being held back for too long. | Source
📈 University of Nottingham ranked third in UK for graduate recruitment again

The university works with nearly 3,000 employers including PwC, Capital One, Boots and the NHS, promoting nearly 40,000 graduate jobs, internships and volunteering opportunities through its free jobs board. | Source
🚗 Sherwood parking permit plans scrapped after resident concerns
Nottingham City Council has dropped plans to introduce parking permits in Sherwood after consultation showed the proposal lacked majority support from residents in affected streets. Following a high number of parking complaints, the authority explored potential solutions but business owners and residents raised concerns about the permits' impact and the possibility of problems moving to roads outside permit zones. The council will monitor alternative suggestions for regulating Sherwood car parks over coming months, with any future proposals subject to fresh consultation before decisions are made. | Source

🍸 Rooftop bar planned at Cleaver & Wake as Island Quarter expands
A new rooftop bar seating 85 customers is being planned at Cleaver & Wake restaurant in the Great Northern Close complex, part of Conygar's £1.4 billion Island Quarter development. The developer submitted planning applications on February 12 for the addition which aims to combine panoramic skyline views with premium food in a relaxed atmosphere. The venue would operate 10am-10pm daily if approved, representing natural progression after Binks Yard and Cleaver & Wake's "incredible reception" since opening in 2022. Nottingham City Council's planning department or committee will decide the application at a later date. | Source
