⚽️ Nottingham’s Mary Earps Steps Down
Lioness legend Mary Earps, England’s Euro 2022-winning goalkeeper and World Cup finalist, has announced her retirement from international football. Earps, who hails from Nottingham, is stepping away from the national team just weeks before the European Championship in Switzerland, having earned 53 caps over her career.
Earps said the decision wasn’t easy, but felt it was the right moment to step aside and create space for younger players to step up. She called representing England the "biggest privilege" of her life and said winning the Euros in 2022 remains her proudest moment.
Congratulations, Mary on a fantastic career! | Source

🤖 40 Council Staff Begin AI Training Thanks to Capital One & Enterprise
Nottingham City Council has enrolled 40 employees into a new AI Academy to help modernise services and boost productivity. Staff from areas like public health, children’s services, and transport will take part in a 13-month “AI for Business Value” apprenticeship delivered by tech training platform Multiverse.
The aim is to give council teams practical AI skills to reduce manual tasks, improve decision-making, and unlock new ways of working. The programme is part-funded by Capital One, with extra support from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
It builds on earlier training that’s already helped staff save time and work more efficiently, hopefully making services smarter, faster, and better for Nottingham residents. | Source
