🏒 Meet Nottingham Panthers stars at McDonald's Netherfield

Nottingham Panthers players are swapping their sticks for spatulas on November 4 when they serve customers at McDonald's Netherfield between 6-7pm. Six players including Matt Alfaro, Tim Doherty and Mitch Fossier, plus mascot Paws, will flip burgers, sign autographs and pose for photos at the Victoria Retail Park branch. Last year's event was hugely popular so make sure you get down there early! | Source

💿 Fans flood city centre after Dave announces surprise signing

Hundreds of music fans flooded Broad Street after rapper Santan Dave announced an impromptu album signing at Rough Trade on Monday afternoon. The 27-year-old posted an Instagram story hours before arriving, sending fans rushing to the city centre for a chance to meet him. The surprise appearance came days after Dave released his new album "The Boy Who Played The Harp" on October 24. | Source

🚝 No trains between Leicester and Nottingham for one weekend

Trains between Nottingham and Leicester won't run on November 15-16 as Network Rail carries out a £968,000 track modernisation at Mountsorrel. The upgrade includes fitting 830 meters of new rail on 1,232 concrete sleepers supported by 3,000 tonnes of ballast, promising smoother and more reliable journeys once complete. Rail replacement buses will operate throughout the weekend, with EMR warning passengers to check journeys in advance as travel times will be significantly longer than usual. | Source

🌮 Popular Mexican street food stall opens West Bridgford takeaway

Poblano, the Mexican street food favorite from Bustler Market and The Garage, is opening a permanent West Bridgford takeaway on Melton Road from November 10. The brand already has fans queuing in the rain at pop-ups outside the former Crunch premises, serving 60 covers within an hour. Signature birria beef burritos will headline the menu alongside pork, chicken and bean options, plus rice bowls, tacos, nachos and elote. Opening 11am daily until 5pm Mon-Tue, 10pm Thu/Sun, and 11pm Fri-Sat, with street food stalls continuing next summer. Check out more on Poblano’s website!
