🙏 Remembrance Sunday ceremony takes place at Victoria Embankment today
Nottingham's traditional Remembrance Sunday service takes place today at Victoria Embankment war memorial from 10:45am. The ceremony includes Armed Forces parade, two-minute silence and wreath laying by Lord-Lieutenant, Lord Mayor and military representatives, with music from Nottinghamshire Band of The Royal Engineers. A large screen and PA system will help the public observe proceedings, with the Embankment closed between Wilford Grove and Bunbury Street. Toilet facilities will be available throughout. | Source
🕙 Council House clock restored for first time in nearly 50 years
Nottingham's iconic Council House clock has been completely restored for the first time in nearly half a century, with 1,195 individual parts carefully dismantled, repaired and reassembled. The complex restoration included repairs to quarter chiming levers, new bearings and oil seals, upgraded electrical systems, and crucially replacing six corroded bolts securing Little John bell to prevent future cracking. The clock room has been cleaned, redecorated and upgraded with new heating and lighting, ensuring the timepiece will chime reliably for another hundred years. | Source
⚽️ Powerleague opening Arnold pitches after £890k investment
owerleague is launching a new small-sided football venue in Arnold following an £890,000 investment at Arnold Hill Spencer Academy on Gedling Road. Opening at the end of November, the site features eight five-a-side pitches plus one full-size pitch divisible into four seven-a-side pitches, all using PowerPitch Plus surface. The investment includes refurbishing the clubhouse with updated bar, changing rooms and social spaces. Registrations are now open for the new facility and you can find out more on their website.

🎅🏼 Spring Lane Farm Shop hosting free Christmas market with Santa
Spring Lane Farm Shop in Mapperley Plains is hosting its third annual Christmas fair on December 5 from 5-9pm with free entry. The festive event features local business stalls selling Christmas trees and turkeys, plus mulled wine, mince pies and a visit from Santa.
