🪑 Central Avenue Gets a Fresh Look

West Bridgford's Central Avenue is sporting some new street furniture as part of Rushcliffe Borough Council's improvement works. The upgrades include new seating, planters and cycle stands, all designed to enhance the shopping and dining experience. The council has also added new recycling and litter bins to keep the area looking its best, with the project being funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. | Source

💷 Cash Boost for Nottingham Businesses

Local businesses can now apply for innovation and talent grants through Nottingham City Council, with funding pots of up to £25,000 available. The scheme aims to support business growth, create high-quality jobs, and develop skills across the region through two specific programs - the Talent Grant and Innovation Grant. Companies looking to expand their workforce or develop new products and services can apply until March 2026, with eligibility including small and medium-sized enterprises based in Nottingham or planning to invest in the city. | Source

🎪 Circus School Plans for Empty Warehouse

An unused warehouse could soon be transformed into a circus training centre if planning permission gets the green light. The ambitious proposal would convert the 10,000 sq ft space on Queens Drive into "Circus Hub," featuring areas for aerial arts, acrobatics and other circus skills. The facility would cater to all ages and abilities, with plans including a café, changing rooms and even a dedicated kids' zone, bringing new life to the industrial unit that's been vacant since 2021. | Source
