⚽️ Forest's £130m City Ground makeover gets full green light
Following last week’s news that Forest's £130m City Ground makeover had been recommended for approval, this week the plans have been given the full green light by Rushcliffe Borough Council following a planning committee meeting on Thursday. The ageing Peter Taylor Stand will be demolished and replaced with a 10,000-seater, increasing the City Ground's overall capacity to 35,000.
The redevelopment work of the area is predicted to boost the local economy by £13m every year, along with creating hundreds of jobs. The long-term ambition is to eventually raise the capacity to 50,000 to match Forest’s continued success on the pitch. | Source
🎥 New Vue Cinema opens up at Cornerhouse
Vue opened their doors in the former Cineworld spot at Cornerhouse on Friday, boasting a facelift on what we were used to previously. Think plush seating, Dolby audio, the latest projection technology and 14 screens. Tickets are available online and start from just £6.99 which is very reasonable nowadays it has to be said!
Whilst you’re at it - Consider supporting cinemas like Broadway Cinema - A Nottingham independent cinema who offer an amazing experience and a real local feel.
